In 2014 in an article about Hamas using Al Shifa as a command post, Tablet Magazine revealed that the bunker under Al Shifa was BUILT BY THE ISRAELIS and used by them as a command post until Gaza was enclosed and they left. So it was Israel who had a command center under the hospital. Then Hamas did use it after they left to host journalists. So IDF knew it was there and planned to triumphantly show it as proof that was Hamas's center of operations. However, at some point Hamas apparently stopped using the bunker and cemented it shut so no one could enter or exit from the hospital. Ludicrously, when IDF discovered this they accused the hospital DOCTORS of cementing it shut in the three days the hospital was surrounded. LOL. Now the IDF has blasted a hole in the ground revealing a tunnel, and are arguing that see? since there is a tunnel deep underground near Al Shifa, it really WAS their command center. LOL. Yes, you idiots, we already knew Hamas used tunnels. They are all over Gaza. You used them yourself once upon a time.

Yes, I have seen a synopsis version of that. Mubarak created Hamas so that there would always be this military need for "defense" that the US would provide in addition to all the cash needed to operate it. Most all of Gaza was constructed by them through the years complete with an underground complex. Shouldn't take a grade school education to figure out that before pulling a stunt like Oct 7 (even if by demand from IDF), that the Hamas leadership would take precautions against the implied blowback. I'm undecided whether they all in fact knew that had been done and are willingly being embarrassed according to a script or whether they are just bumbling around hoping to score big with one shot. Either way, it's slapstick.

You finished with a flourish. I had seen bits and pieces but you brought it in with a resounding thud.

Some stories are like that. Honestly, this one has been insane. Way more than usual. Makes me think more to come!

TY, I will. Half cooking, half eating. JK. But Monday and Thursday that's true. It's more a mental one though. We could all use one I bet.
