Thanks, a great roundup including many things I missed.

The esoteric I have always found the most interesting and often telling. Drums of war banging nonstop. But not all of it will even become kinetic at all. Economic, cultural, religious - these are all forms of warfare. No less damaging overall than chemical or biological can be. And this war is like the entree sized loaded baked potato skins of psychological warfare. No point in ordering them without the bacon.

But that is also why it was longer than usual. I decided to go bigger to show bigger.

Agreed. I could never accept that the guy who stole a billion and destroyed many lives, is given a smaller jail sentence than the man who robbed the local tea room.

There's probably never been any true justice anywhere in the world. We've seen that over and over again. Hopefully that will at least get a little better with time. But if we don't destroy completely the legal system as it exists now we will have fought for a draw. Only an outcome that levels that up is a real win.

Many bases covered here. I especially enjoyed Charles “fish and chips “ story. I had heard about the possibility of shutting off the fishing.

I think we will be seeing more of that kind of story. The nearly ridiculous. But to a British F&C shop it could be disastrous. To a dedicated customer it could be very unsettling to need to replace 10+% of their customary diet. I think it's emblematic of situations like that which may touch us all at some point this year.

Whether it's access or expense a whole lot of people this year will likely be adjusting to this kind of warfare. Even worse for it to be iconic traditions. But those make better targets.

Actually the F&C story is typical of the way Putin does business. He quite often will not retaliate immediately after an event. He just waits.
