I heard rumors of this coming from a friend who works in the shipping business about a month ago. Like everything else, one never knows how these things will turn but Iโ€™ve been laying in some extra stuff for awhile. I remember how the last one of these went.

Everyone needs a stash anyways. But this truly will cause panic just as early voting really gets going. The hurricane put a big damper on a couple of red states.

It's time to crack open a bottle and watch til the cows come home now. โฐ๐Ÿค“

Thereโ€™s something to say about living in boring old middle America. Wind causing 2 to 3 foot waves on the lake just make riding the jet ski more interesting. The home remains intact.

Iโ€™ll be watching for those cows. ๐Ÿฎ

45000 workers threaten to go on strike and it only hits the headlines two days before the strike date! You've got to love this movie!

I heard about it a little over a week ago. But only heard 4-5 days ago that Biden wouldn't stop it like glue did in 2022. They are asking for the moon, though. Essentially haha rangers jobs. Zero automation. One reason the west coast doesn't have this issue is they've already done at least substantial automation.

But, we were definitely gonna see this plated up now! They probably hand picked the date years ago...

I think that it would be in the best interest of Congress (not the US, of course) for the strike to go on for as long as possible; years if need be.

That may very well have been the plan! Most of them have been used. But they have never really ended up as designed. So I'm looking for more of the same on that score. But the real story is just that the major demolition is starting! Another milestone in the bank.

No, I had a number asking me because I've been commenting that most of what NC is experiencing we did too in Katrina, 19 years ago. But in early 2020 I moved from Mississippi to the Front Range in Colorado. Wildfires are a bigger issue now. But no hurricanes or tornadoes yet!

I can breathe though for the first time in my life when I wasn't travelling. Politics suck, but they're all fake anyway. Actually the people here are very friendly. Haven't been tested for major disasters like we had periodically in Mississippi, though. We never used to wait on the Feds or the State guys either. Neighbors took care of each other.

But it's hard to get a hurricane to rise a mile high and not lose all of its steam! Thankfully. Even modified weather has its limitations.

Well, that's a large amount of bad news.

I wonder if this will slow down arms shipments to Ukraine and Israel .......

It' seems like part of a Termantor movie

"Man against the machines. "

Soon it may be "Humans vs AI "

I wonder who will win?

Thanks for the update, Karen

I think most of the arms shipments go by military means. Not all though. It's a crazy world and AI has been in a lot of arenas we haven't thought of yet. I am pretty sure the west coast ports have already done a fair bit of automation. But I'm pretty sure this timing was very well planned. The question is by whom? And to what end? Unity as neighbors will need to help neighbors? Or just more of the same optics as illegals get priority for imported goods. Whatever happens in this narrative, it clearly indicates the intent to kick the misery index to choking level. The heat is on...

We haven't recovered from the 2008 crash, and those that made money out of it. Everything since then has been leaks vs sticky tape.

Same here. Same here. I haven't made one positive nickel since 2010. Despite three years continued from then in my construction business. Then I blew a big hole in my savings by opening a tea room of 5 years duration.

Now I just welcome a simpler life watching and learning about why all that was. And how much better it will be when the war ends.

Yep. Give me little, but give me safety.

I prefer serenity. Go big! Safety is in there! Safety is always in the hands of the provider which allows for latitude. Serenity is self made and only has your own definition.
