Thanks for this, Karen.

Difficult to say if any of it is real!

Wishing you a happy Hogmanay and new year. 2025 is certainly going to be interesting!

Hopefully a breakout year in terms of increased awareness minimally. These manufactured and patterned narratives are all part of the push for that. The bird flu pandemic and American political theater should get the ball rolling faster at least!

I'm reading much less, so glad I caught this belatedly, and can start the year by commending you on another excellent job.

I think we all are (very appropriately) reading less these days. The same old stories rehashed into new ones where only the names/faces change. It's like a time loop really. And everyone's truly best option is to search for the exit. And choose to not watch Season 25.

It reminds me of my tween days reading Georgian and Regency romances in a tent on top of my bed nearly all night by flashlight. Until I figured out they were all the same story. I think the boys were doing the same but with comic books. They moved on to video games but I moved to historical fiction of other kinds. Potato potato. We never really let go of those first loves, do we? We just get the new and improved versions. And repeat history ourselves.

The next news will be that Ukraine is making a new incursion into Russia... except that may be true.

If they do it will be an undeniable NATO invitation to nuclear war. But the money Joe is reputedly blessing them with in this month is useless. There's nothing to buy. Even if they spend it on returning their own former residents (best use), it's really too late for that to help. Because they don't have the time to use it unless the Inauguration can be stopped.
