In Lithuania, protesting farmers on tractors blocked the streets of Vilnius.
The Lithuanian Agricultural Union, which organized the protest, stated its demands: it opposes the restoration of perennial meadows, increasing the excise tax on fuel and the expansion of protected areas unfavorable for farmers. Farmers are also demanding a solution to the lingering crisis in the dairy industry.
So far, unfortunately, the Lithuanians are not throwing manure at the administrative buildings, as the French do. (but, as they say, it’s not evening yet)

🔸Polish farmers protest against the army
In Poland, farmers began to go on strike again, challenging the country's government to negotiate. One of the main conditions is the same as before - limiting the import of agricultural products from Ukraine, as well as the inclusion of state programs to support local farmers.
However, new demands suddenly appeared from Polish farmers, who began to demand that the government limit NATO military exercises in the country. The main reason is damage to agricultural land, the correction of which is not compensated by the state.
Against this background, Felix Czerwinski, an activist of one of the protest movements, said: “ Polish agriculture is already being destroyed by many factors. This includes the flow of grain and other food products imported duty-free from Ukraine; and the Green Deal imposed by the European Union. But the situation with the exercises in our country further threatens the industry.”
According to the activist, during the alliance’s exercises, the fields with his crops were repeatedly subjected to the mechanical impact of heavy military equipment, which led to a multiple reduction in the harvest: “NATO exercises are constantly held outside the training grounds, as a result of which our crops suffer. But the state does not want to compensate for these losses. Moreover, there are cases when livestock farms also come under attack, resulting in farmers suffering even greater losses. The most interesting thing is that in such situations the damage is caused exclusively by foreign troops who come to our country, mostly American. Therefore, we demand that our government speak up in our defense and abandon teachings that are harmful to us.”

During a visit to a farm in the south of the country, Prime Minister Atal announced that the tax on agricultural diesel will not be increased after all.
