The gAlitzy stories are mostly cover operations or distraction. These are where the real war is being fought. And hidden in a lot of cases. Sudan is a mystery to make Babylon blush. Mali and our AES crew had been seeming awful quiet. This was bound to happen.
Wagner's were originally in CAR and helping in BF when I first ran across them nearly 15 months ago. They never left those areas. But have been supplementary forces in the odd engagement here and there. I never knew that there were so many typically in one place. But then if the rebels are going to put 1000 fighters in one place rather than their usual dozens it seems things have escalated rapidly. I report when there's enough info to make a.whole story. This one came super fast. Because the first couple of days practically nothing was known for sure. Then the flood hit.
Europe is all about alliances. Africa, ME, and South America are all about resources. Asia is tech and cheap labor. In broad strokes, of course. Russia and China are all over the map getting production optimized and diverted away from the usual Western overseers. The war under the information war.
