You may have outdone yourself this time Karen. I’ve been through this a couple times now and still catching new things. That last video is money. I’ll hit it again later tonight. Solid effort as always.

It actually was pretty fun to search and consolidate. My actual favorite part (which I subsequently forgot to spotlight - lots of technical issues today!) was the Boston mayor saying it was like a scene from an action movie. WYKYK.

But I got in the illustration on how to massage the perceptions messaging and see a different angle. That shows everything is controlled; we are in a vast simulation chamber that every so often turns into a shaken snow globe. But with a little faith in ourselves, we will find and get through the exit safely and sound of mind!

I didn’t realize just how much traffic that port was responsible for. The stats you posted were astronomical. Also the fact that the Navy supplies will have issues now was illuminating. I’m not sure why anyone would waste time sending stuff to Ukraine now. The fact that they still argue about getting them the 61 billion now shows how big a gift that was all along.

The social media interaction was interesting. It’s amazing how many “coincidences “ there are here. That last video certainly encapsulated everything well.

All of our deepwater ports are critical to supplying the country. We import way more than we produce. This port going offline is basically equivalent to an Ansrallah operation in the mid Atlantic.

I don't know a lot about them. But I used to chat on FB with a Mississippi River captain. So I had a good idea of the layers of systems duplication, severance, and backup. These guys that get out on open water for weeks/months at a time put their lives on these ships because of all that. Look at the money that basic worker was making. $1600/month. It sure isn't to get rich!

Yeah, I am much more familiar with the west coast ports. I spent some time in Boston, then Florida, but mostly tried to avoid spending much time on the east coast. I knew a couple guys who used to go to Alaska and work on the fishing trawlers but that was seasonal and lucrative. You’re right about that guy doing the 1600 wasn’t a lot but he probably enjoyed the freedom.

The sad thing about our world is that incompetence and malevolence look so much alike one can't tell the difference anymore. They couldn't have done more damage if they tried, which leads one to conclude that they did in fact try.

I'm in a "generous" mood at the moment, so my suggestion is this: our infrastructure is just this old and people are just this incompetent and our systems are just this fragile, and this truly is an accident, though one that was inevitable. ("Black swan" events, I'm starting to conclude, are only "black swan" events because we've yet to admit that all these things are the natural outcome of years of neglect, misplaced priorities, and letting people fail upward.)

I love your compilations. They provide great material to work with. I admire the work you put in. You're like having a personal researcher.

TY Lillia! I don't really do a ton of researching. I do try to find good sourcing for the posts I compile. But my eyes really don't work well enough to do deep or intricate research. I have a somewhat quirky perspective that some find amusing up to offensive. 🤷

I'm glad you're here! All these events have purpose behind them. That they're so easy to see through is surely an indication that the controllers are not who they used to be! If the former crew were still in charge the skies would have been darkened already to block the sun and everything on a minute by minute basis would be falling down. That there's still light and even occasionally laughter is a very good thing. Let's choose to celebrate ourselves out of these broken systems. Just because we can!

I love your attitude. I figure if we're going to go down, we should go down laughing.

But believe all along we're heading up! Because we are (mostly). I've never found any endeavor worthwhile that wasn't also enlightening or at least entertaining. I surprised myself in the early days of COVID by being amused at the ridiculous everyday. Enraged too, occasionally, but most often just thinking what in the H€LL do these people hope to gain by being circus clowns all the time? Mostly figured it out by the middle of 2022 for the US theaters. Took it on the road and found a little niche in the international sphere that was vastly underserved in the SM based information community.

But my attitude mostly comes from conviction I found there. These events keep telling us we've won, or are at least beyond any chance of losing.

When you look around the whole world and see it - well it's just much easier. ❤

I watched the crash vid in slow mo but then decided not to distract myself. Consequently, very handy that you've provided this all-in-one toolkit with a funny video to boot.

You know I've always tried to make all of this craziness fun. Holds the sanity above knee high at least and keeps it light on the spirit. We have enough to do getting prepared for a new age to appear without dealing with gloomy forecasts! Laughter really is the medication for all ills - because they start in the mind.
